History: Wikipedia

Personality: Though not the wisest nor always the most kind, Thor is a good man at heart. He will defend those in need without second thought and places great value in protecting those who need it. He is also willing to accept people as they are, truly wanting to believe that even those considered irredeemable by others can change for the better if given a chance. This belief in the general good of people is both a blessing and a curse. It shows that underneath all his less savorable qualities that he has a good heart, but it also leads him to heartache when he's let down by this belief by those like his brother, Loki.

Despite wanting to believe in others and being able to make exceptions for those such as his brother, Thor has a rigid sense of right and wrong that he will fight to the death for. He values strength and courage. Show Thor you have these qualities and you will win yourself a friend and valuable ally. He is loyal almost to a fault, never truly abandoning those he feels a connection with -- and that number is many.

It is so easy to see why people may be drawn to Thor in watching the way he interacts. He is a genuine man, with little need to put on airs. He is ready to smile and laugh while engaging others with tales of his battles and adventures and as much as he is willing to talk, he enjoys listening to what others have to tell as well. He can be boastful on more than just occasion, but usually gives off this sense of sincerity that tends to warm those around him to him. As said, he is a valuable friend to have as he's been shown time and again to be willing to go out of his way to help those in need. He is even willing to lay down his own life, if it means that those he cares about are safe. Beyond that, he is also quick to forgive to an impressive degree as shown by how long it took to finally give up on his troubled brother, Loki. Even then, in his brother's assumed death, Thor still praises him to their father for his sacrifice on the battlefield and mentions that he would have been more suited to be a king.

That said, Thor is not a flawless man. He can be arrogant and petulant when he thinks he has been slighted or isn't getting what he deserves, though those have both been tempered with time. He has been shown to throw temper tantrums though, throwing tables and furniture in his outrage and this, at one time at least, seemed to be fairly common. He can also be loud and abrasive to mortals, though he rarely means any disrespect by his actions. Human customs can just fly over his head and if called on his rudeness, he will be genuinely apologetic. He can also be rash and this rashness can land him -- and others -- in trouble. He is prideful and, since he has been raised as a warrior, his natural reaction is to fight. He has a genuine love of battle that, while improved with time, will never truly leave him.

As mentioned earlier, Thor is also not the wisest man. What he lacks in pursuits of the mind, he makes up for in his training in combat. He is a brilliantly trained warrior and strategist when it comes to battle, his skills honed from years of battle and training. This is another area that Loki is shown to be his contrast, having clearly taken the more scholarly route than always relying on his physical prowess to triumph in difficult situations.

One valuable thing he has learned is to admit when he is wrong, however. He knows now that there is value in admitting your faults and making steps to righting them. He has truly become a better man than the one we see in the beginning of Thor. He now knows the weight of his actions and how many consequences they may carry should he make the wrong decision.

Though raised to be king of Asgard and formerly burdened with an overabundance of self-worth over the fact, Thor has learned through time that he would rather be a good man than a king. He would rather devote his life to those who need his protection than have to make the sometimes difficult choices those with the weight of a kingdom and maintaining peace between realms on their shoulders must do.

Abilities/Skills:
A well-trained warrior - Thor has been trained since youth in various forms of combat and has seen many battles to hone his skills.
Weather manipulation - Thor is able to control storms, this includes lightning, thunder, rain, and wind.
Super strength - Thor is much stronger than the average human, able to lift well over what he should. He's also capable of tolerating impacts that would kill most humans as evidence by his ability to fall from great distances or be thrown into/through sturdy materials.
Lifestpan - While not immortal, Asgardians are incredibly long-lived and resilient to human ailments.
Mjolnir - only those worthy may wield Mjolnir. With the hammer, he gains not only an extremely useful weapon, but he is able to fly with it as well.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Loyalty - Both a strength and a weakness. Thor is loyal to a fault, and while this means that he will never betray those he considers friends, it also means that he finds it difficult to give up on those that he cares about, even when they betray him.
Bravery - Thor is beyond brave when he has a cause he feels is worth fighting for. He will not hesitate to protect others, even at the cost of his own life.
Tactician - Thor was raised not only to be a king, but he has also known the heat of battle. He is able to come up with plans and strategies and think very quickly on his feet.
Ill-temper - another major weakness of Thor's would be his temper. Even if he has mellowed out some with age and wisdom, he is still quick to anger.
Leadership - As mentioned earlier, he was raised t be a king. While he is good at following others and a team player, he isn't a terrible leader either. That said, he isn't particularly eager to step into the role anymore.
Loki - Yes, Loki deserves a special mention, I think. Thor's ultimate weakness will always be his brother. As much as he knows that he can't trust Loki, that he will betray him time and again, he is still very much a big brother. At one time, Loki was even one of his closest companions, someone he loved more than anything. Seeing Loki, let alone two versions on the ship, will definitely reopen some old wounds.
Technology - While Asgard has its own technology and advancements, some beyond those of earth, Thor is never shown to be particularly adept at human technology. He isn't incapable of learning his way around, but he may need time.

Items: He'll have Mjolnir, and will be wearing the red jacket and black shirt + trousers he had on during the party in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

SAMPLES
Network Sample: [Given the choice, Thor would have preferred absolutely any other method to stay in touch with his new shipmates. Still, Thor is not above adapting to his circumstances, navigating them if he must, and so he learns his way well enough to send out a video.]

Greetings, denizens of the Moria. I am Thor, son of Odin, and I am newly arrived... and alone, at that.

[He scowls briefly, brows furrowing. He isn't sure he likes this, not one bit, but he has no choice but to play along for now. It's his only way home. So after a moment to collect himself, he continues on--] If anyone knows the name Avengers or any of its members, I would welcome any information that you have. I would be grateful for it.
